Meet Ella The Enchanted Princess

Meet Ella The Enchanted Princess

Meet Ella The Enchanted Princess. She is my creation of a bald princess. She isn't any ordinary princess, she has no hair. Princess Ella is an extraordinary and amazingly brave little girl! You may look at Princess Ella and think that she is a sick little girl, but that is not true. Ella was born with no hair because she has a huge imagination that did not allow her hair to grow. I hope Princess Ella will be a role model for anyone who feels different.

Princess Ella is an ordinary little girl who likes to play with her toys and have her Nanny read to her. Her favorite thing to do is to play make-believe. When she plays make-believe she can use her imagination. She doesn't like the way she looks and hates looking into mirrors. So when Princess Ella gets dressed she always wears something on her head.

I created Princess Ella and wrote and illustrated a series of books to show how Ella conquers her fear of having no hair to become a stronger little girl. When she learns to Believe In Herself, that is when she is ready for all her future adventures. She is not the typical princess, but a little girl who looks for adventures that help people who are in danger. I wrote these books to inspire children and teach them that they are beautiful no matter how they feel about themselves. Being different is being normal and that is what I want to show children. Children have a special place in my heart, and through my books, I hope to teach children to believe in themselves!

Just Like Me!!

Bald Is Beautiful

I am a Breast Cancer survivor and want to share how I poured my heart into my Princess Ella. I created this little girl with passion and love; I poured all my feelings of how it feels to be different and live in a world with people staring at you. As I was going through the many challenges of Breast Cancer, losing my hair was the one I conquered. I never wore wigs or hats to hide behind. I would wake up every morning put on my lipstick and face the day.

After losing my hair to Breast Cancer, I realized that Bald Is Beautiful and that being bald doesn't change who you are! I didn't hide my baldness because I knew I was the same person with or without hair. It didn't make a difference to me if people stared.

I knew who I was and I believed in myself. When I did catch people whispering, it would make me very very sad. I realized how mean people could be. I felt in my heart the heartache that children and adults must go through for being different! Understanding this feeling was when I realized that I had to help children and how they perceive themselves. I decided to create a Bald Princess to set a precedent! You don't need hair to be beautiful! And you don't need hair to be a princess either!

Beautiful Princesses

Why Princess Ella Was Created

My love for children inspired me to create Ella. I am a devoted mom of 6 and a grandma of 11. I have always been around children and their well being has always been my concern. I am a very positive lady and I always want to motivate children to be happy with who they are and not want to be like anyone else. I wanted to create a character that children can relate to and follow! A character that will show them it's okay to be different.

Every little girl looks up to a princess' character and wants to be like them. They love pretending that they are these beautiful princesses. But there are some little girls that just can't relate to them because they feel they are not pretty enough to be a princess. Children are different, some have red hair, blonde hair, blue eyes and some have no hair. This is why I feel that we need a bald princess.

All fairytale princesses look the same. They are thin; they have long flowing hair, big almond-shaped eyes, and fair skin. They have full, pouty lips and they never have smudged makeup or bad hair days. The only difference between any of the princesses out there is their hair and eye color. All princesses are picture perfect. I want to know, Who looks like that?

That’s why I decided that we need a bald princess; a princess that is just as beautiful as the rest but has no hair. She says no to wigs and hats and embraces what indeed makes her beautiful.

Creation Of Princess Ella

I started with a little girl's face that was sweet and innocent! I kept in mind all the little faces that are unique! She is my creation; what makes Ella unique is that I created her with lots of love. All my emotions were poured into her to make her very special. Everything she feels is a part of me. My passion for life and children are a part of her. I gave her big purple-blue eyes, a button nose, and pink heart-shaped lips. I love dressing her and having her set an example to Believe In Yourself!

Ella's beauty shines from within, making whatever is on the outside unimportant. Her brilliant heart full of love, her kindness that she shows to others because she knows what it’s like to be different and her unfailing hope are all her most precious gifts to those whose lives she embraces.

I didn’t wait for Disney to create a beautiful bald princess for all the hairless little girls out there. I created her myself because I know what it is like to lose all your hair and have people stare at you. Her name is Ella The Enchanted Princess, and I think you’ll agree that she’s as beautiful as any other princess around. Why make all princesses the same when none of us are the same? We should celebrate our differences because they are what makes us all special and beautiful. Children are the most fragile creatures of all! Ella, The Enchanted Princess, gives them the strength to keep fighting and helps them realize their unique beauty to embrace wholeheartedly.
